I've driven from Toronto area too Florida, both going via oOhio/Kentucky/Tennessee, and then returning via the Carolinas, the Virginias and Pennsylvania. I've also been to Buffalo many times, Detroit twice for piano competitions and Illinois to see a friend. I've flown through Boston and New York City, as well as Chicago and Seattle. I've been to both Anchorage and Fairbanks in Alaska...actually lived in Fairbanks for awhile.
In Canada I've been to Edmonton several times, flown through Calgary a couple of times and Vancouver once, and to Prince Edward Island via car twice. Speaking of, I've also driven through Maine and New Hampshire and part of Massachusetts, as well as New Jersey, I think, on that second P.E.I. trip.

Outside the States I've been to England, northern Ireland and have travelled through Holland via Schippol Airport. Didn't stay there though.

i have done a lot of travelling, most of it as my name says.
the countries i have been to (outside the u. s.) ordered by first visit are (airports only designated by * ): netherlands (amsterdam)*, belgium (brussels)*, denmark (copenhagen), west germany (several places), austria (several places), italy (several places), san marino, the vatican, switzerland (lausanne, ate in one other but have forgotten it), france (paris and two others), england (london), and east germany (several places; i was there when there were two parts of germany unlike today).
i have driven in all of the lower 48 states (ia, il, mn, ok, mo, ne, in, ks, wy, ut, nv, ca, co, sd, wi, ky, tn, wv, nd, mt, id, wa, or, az, nm, tx, la, ms, al, fl, ga, sc, nc, va, md (plus going through dc), de, nj, ny, ct, ri, ma, nh, me, vt, pa, oh, mi, and ar in that order, by first visit; the trip that got the perimeter states covered over 10000 miles/16100 km) and have driven in every county in the following (in order of completion with number of counties following): ia, 99; mo, 115 (one independent city, saint louis); il, 102; in, 92; de, 3; ok, 77; ar, 75; ks, 105; wi, 72; la, 64 (parishes); ne, 93; nv, 17 (including carson city, independent); mn, 87; and ut, 29. in total, i have visited over 2000 counties or county equivalents out of a little more than 3100 in the country.
i have plans for some massive travels in 2016, in which i want to get almost all the ones in the east and complete as many highways as possible also, then pick up the southwest except tx (254 counties!!) later, followed by the northwest. go here for my complete county info, though i don’t know how accessible that site is. the list of highways i have driven on (down to state level for most states) is here.
i have driven naked over 400000 miles/650000km.

Post 18 by Blue Velvet (I've got the platinum golden silver bronze poster award.) on Saturday, 19-Dec-2015 20:01:43

I forgot to add Tennessee to my earlier list of states.

The really funny thing is that last night I had one of those weird jumbled dreams where I was doing a lot of different things in different places, but one of the things I did involved traveling through the state of Iowa. When I woke up I thought to myself that I needed to add Iowa to my list here on the zone. But the truth is I've never been to Iowa. It's weird how sometimes dreams and real life intermix.

When I first did this, I thought in terms of where I’ve been, but not where I go, or visit often because I have family, or just go.
Also we took road trips as a child and as an adult to get places.
So, I have been or go to Nevada, Las Vegas, or Whiskey Pete’s.
Arizona, several cities. New Mexico.
I’ve spent maybe a few hours in New Orleans, had to drive through Louisiana, Idaho, Utah often. Spent a few hours in Salt Lake City.
Have been and might go to Kansas, due to family.
Not out of the US offten, but lots of places inside it.

Living in WV, I have made more tripsto Ohio, Kentucky, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina than I can keep track of. I went to Ohio for trips to zoos, pro baseball and football games. It's a nice place. I went to the Kentucky Derby twice. The other states were vacations to the coasts. I also went to Georgia, and Florida while I was married. I have been to Las Vegas afew times but can't talk about that. No overseas travel, although I am going to be traveling to Maine and Canada in about a month..
